1-I believe that testing medication on animals is okay, as long as we treat the animals with respect. 2-If we do not test on animals, then we would have to test on humans and it would be more morally reprehensible. Since these scientific discoveries do eventually help to save animals' lives, I think that our actions are morally justified, as long as we only test medication. 3-If I wore makeup, I would totally do that.
I will definitely change to cruelty free cosmetics and I really love the link that gives a list of companies against animal testing. thank you this is really informative
I think that although animal testing is wrong, as it subjects animals to immense pain and misery. If it could be done humanely, then maybe I would be okay with it, but I feel like that would be really hard for organizations like PETA to regulate. No, I don't think humans have the right to test on animals. And yes, I will definitely switch to cruelty-free cosmetics!
I believe humans do not have the right to test on animals, like Colleen said it causes much pain and misery to animals, so no thank you. I think make-up brands/companies can certainly find better testing samples rather than animals, and of course I will switch to cruelty-free! Great website, by the way!
I do not think that humans have the right to test products on animals because animals have no future gain from these products are being used merely as research and are not treated as ceatures sholuld be treated. I was not aware just how much harm could be caused by animal testing and i will be sure to be aware of what products i am buying from now on!
I do not think that humans have the right to test products on animals at all because it causes so much pain and sorrow with little gain. Animals are our pets and a big part of our lives and they should be treated with the same respect.
Your infograph specifying what kinds of animals are tested on and how little survive made me very sad. I am very grateful for the info about which companies are cruelty-free. Unfortunately, businesses have made it very easy to throw a product in the cart and swipe the credit card without thinking twice about what is behind the plastic packaging.
I agree with Sandra; the information was very sad. I do consider testing cosmetics on animals as animal abuse and animal cruelty because it hurts them. If people continue to test products on animals, the term "man's best friend" will become extinct. I can't even imagine how much products hurt animals, especially if they even hurt us.
I agree that animals should not be used to test products. I've never noticed in particular which brands test on animals, but I am going to do some more research and attempt to use companies that do not test on their animals.
This is similar to my topic. What I see as the biggest problem is that people only think of animal cruelty as physical abuse or dog fighting, and rarely acknowledge the fact that their favorite lipstick came at the expense of an animal. This needs to be recognized as an extremely cruel act that requires help.
I think animal testing is wrong and should be considered animal abuse. I don't think humans should have the right to test on animals as it is putting their lives at risk and subjecting them to danger. I don' think this topic is as acknowledged as it should be. Awareness needs to be spread as many women purchase cosmetic products without basic knowledge of animal testing. I think, now, I will be more cautious when I buy makeup.
I agree with Jessica that animal testing should be considered animal abuse. We as humans do not have the right to put animals through such pain and suffering. We are supposed to care for animals, not exploit them.
I think that animal testing is an unfortunate necessity of our lives today. We don't really have much of an alternative since our other option would be testing on humans, which is probably worse, depending on how you look at it.
i think that animal testing is a necessary evil. we need it because now our society can not live without makeup and there is really no other safe alternative
I believe animal testing is immoral and unjust. It should not exist as any form of testing in society, and I hope the world comes together to help eliminate it.
